OsteoStrong uses a safe, natural process called Osteogenic Loading — controlled pressure that signals your body to rebuild and strengthen bone, much like muscles respond to resistance training. Each session takes just 10 minutes a week and delivers powerful, measurable results over time.
The published research on this topic does not indicate that bones are strengthened through conventional exercises or weight training. A study published in 2012 identified that the minimum force required to trigger bone growth is 4.2 multiples of body weight (4.2 MOB). Engaging in that amount of force outside of an OsteoStrong center is not recommended for most people. The good news is that our proprietary Spectrum system safely allows members to experience much more than the 4.2 MOB minimum required to trigger the skeletal building response people are looking for.
Traditional weight lifting works by using up the fuel inside your muscles—things like ATP, glycogen, and creatine phosphate—to make them stronger. That’s why, during exercises like pushups, your muscles start to feel tight or burn: your body is adapting to store more fuel and promote muscle tissue growth. Osteogenic Loading works differently. Instead of tiring your muscles from running out of fuel, it creates structural fatigue. This means your muscles and bones are fully engaged, not because they’re exhausted, but because they’ve reached their current limit for contraction and loading. This type of fatigue mimics real-life high-impact situations, activating muscles, tendons, bones, and ligaments in a way that encourages deeper, more effective adaptation to stimulate your bodies ability to build new bone tissue.
Each osteogenic loading session is brief, consisting of just two repetitions on each of the four machines. You’ll begin with a short “test push” to ensure proper positioning and comfort, followed by one maximum effort held for five seconds. Because of this efficient structure, sessions stay short while still delivering powerful results. Research shows that bones need about seven days to respond, adapt, and rebuild after each session. For this reason, coming in more frequently can actually slow your progress, as it interrupts the body’s natural adaptation process. The goal is to reach loads of at least 4.2 times your body weight, which triggers the bone-building response. Once that adaptation is activated, your body needs time to grow stronger between sessions—making consistency, not frequency, the key to optimal results.
Building bone density takes time and consistency. Most members notice measurable changes within 12 to 18 months, starting with a slowing of bone loss, followed by stabilization and eventually increased bone density and quality. Some may even see results sooner. In many cases, bone loss can be halted within two years. As a general guideline, allow about one year of consistent sessions for every 15 years of bone loss, which typically begins around age 30. Every body responds differently—some faster, some more gradually. What matters most is the overall trend toward stronger bones. Factors like age, metabolism, and health history can influence results. Even maintaining bone density or slowing loss is meaningful progress, especially for those with degenerative conditions. For example, if a postmenopausal woman shows only a 1–2% decrease in bone density after starting sessions, she’s likely doing better than the average rate of decline—and that’s true improvement.
Traditional health insurance in the U.S. generally does not cover OsteoStrong sessions. However, many members view OsteoStrong as an investment in their long-term health, independence, and quality of life — benefits that far outweigh the cost of occasional doctor visits, medications, or injuries.
